The Olympus CV-1500 is an EVIS X1 Video System Center — the main video processor and LED light source unit used in Olympus’s latest flexible endoscopy platform. It processes images from Olympus video endoscopes and provides illumination for procedures.

It is used mainly for:

Gastroenterology – gastroscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, and therapeutic endoscopy
Pulmonology – bronchoscopy
Thoracic surgery and other endoscopic applications

Main functions of the CV-1500
HD/advanced image processing – converts the digital signal from the endoscope camera into a diagnostic image displayed on the monitor.
Integrated LED light source – combines the video processor and light source into one compact unit.
NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) – enhances visualization of mucosal structures and vascular patterns.
TXI (Texture and Color Enhancement Imaging) – improves surface structure, color tone, and brightness.
RDI (Red Dichromatic Imaging) – helps improve visualization of deeper blood vessels and bleeding points.
BAI-MAC – improves brightness in darker areas while maintaining contrast.
Compatibility with selected Olympus endoscope generations, including EVIS X1 scopes and certain EVIS EXERA III / EVIS LUCERA ELITE scopes depending on configuration.
